One of our readers "Angelica" sent me info about this monstrosity the other day. It's called, "The Hamdog".
A ham dog is a hotdog that is wrapped in ground beef then deep fried. They then place it on a hoagie roll, top it with chilli, grilled onions, and a fried egg.
*clutches chest* hahaha...
It even got on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Mulligan's Myspace page has a copy of the show here: http://www.myspace.com/mulligansatl

Contributed by: Billy
One of our Anonymous readers sent this one in. They're French Fry encrusted corn dogs from Korea, and cost about US$1 each. Definately bigger than your average!

Here's a supersized meal from our German friends at the "Pig & Pipes Bar". It's called the "Godzilla Burger", consisting of a somewhat humble 339g pattie (12oz), bacon, cheese, and all the usual toppings. While it's not something you'd necessarily need to train for, it would be good to tackle with a few pints of Germany's finest.

The Colossal Pizza
Sets Guinness World Record and Creates Massive Marketing Value
By Tom Boyles
One line of media attention can be worth ten times the amount you spend on advertising space. So how can pizza operators get this free and extremely valuable media attention? Simple, break a world record. Jeff Parker, founder and owner of the Original Brooks Pizza 2-for-1 Ltd., had no idea he would receive the media attention and surge in sales that has followed in the wake of Brooks creating The Colossal. What is The Colossal? It's the current Guinness World Record holder for the largest commercially available pizza.
Measuring three feet wide, four feet long and providing 108 pieces, The Colossal supplies 12 square feet of pizza for $134.95.

Massive L.A. Pizza!
Contributed by: Billy
Found this pic today... looks legit... I think it's from somewhere in LA, can't really make out where it's from by the box...

Following on from jeffuwo's 3lb sandwich, and encouraged by our last anonymous post, I ended up googling around and finding the store which sold him this fantastic sandwich. It's called The Carnegie Deli, 55th Street, New York.
After reading up on their web site, turns out this place has been around for quite a while! Not only do they do massive Pastrami sandwiches, how about Carnegie's "Subsational" 6 foot sandwich, or their Famous 4 layered Sloppy Joes? I haven't got those pictures (yet!) but I plan to! They even have a service where they bring the deli to you! How's this...
We set up two eight foot tables - plug in our commercial meat slicer - STEAM our own world's best Corned Beef - Pastrami and Brisket of Beef in large portable chafing dishes and then cut it to order for your guests in any amount and combination they desire
I've added some more images to the Carnegie Deli photo gallery, so if you have any you'd like to send through, email to and I'll post them up!
That's a whole lotta corned beef!

This is a sandwich from the Carnegie Deli. Corned beef on top. Tongue on the bottom. It took 3 days to finish it.
Dodd vs. The 7 lbs. Burger
Contributed by: Billy
"The Dodd" tries to destroy the 7lb "Aussie Bush Burger". He vblog'd his experience, and we captured a gallery for your enjoyment!
The saddest thing about this story though, is that it looks like "Aussie Bush Burger" has closed down. The beat talks about all 3 of their burger huts closing about 2 months ago.
James Shannon also did a write up on it in mid 2004, sounded like a fantastic place....
Aussie Bush Burger, you left us far too soon.... may your legendary burgers live with us forever more...

"longdongwong" sent this one in, it's called "The Quadruple C", purchased at Dan's Diner in Toronto. Here's what longdongwong had to say about it!
From: http://longdongwong.blogspot.com/
From the menu, it's a 24oz burger served with a quarter pound of cheese, a quarter pound of bacon, and 2 fried eggs - yikes. For those that want to be a hero, you can order the "Collossal Colon Clogger Combo" which, along with the Quadruple C burger, comes with a "small" poutine and a large shake.

This is from my report on Salt Lake City a while back:
Crown Burgers was my reward after driving for 12 hours on the eve of Thanksgiving. In college, there was a burger and sandwich shop run by a Pakistani family called Royal Burger. Their fries were perfect. Their grilled cheese was perfect. Their club sandwich was perfect. Their reuben was perfect. Great stuff. Living a quarter of a mile away for a year helped me top 300 lbs in college. The jewel of their sandwich crown was the Royal Burger Special, a quarter-pound flame broiled burger with cheese and a pile of pastrami.
