Beer Battered Deep Fried Bacon Double Quarter Pounder
Contributed by: Billy
It may not be big in size, but I'm sure it's up there on the calorie count! Here's a simple guide on how to make a Beer Battered Deep Fried Bacon Double Quarter Pounder in 10 easy steps! Thanks Houmam for sending this one in!
From: http://www.danamania.com/burger/burger.html
Yes, it's pretty gross. This started out as a dare from a friend on IRC, one I immediately said "OK!" to. It took a few weeks to work up the courage to try. First off, it was surprisingly tasty - everything was kind of nicely nutty, and if I'd had to eat 1/5th of one, that'd be just nice. Something like chocolate mud cake, a little goes a long way. I did eat the whole thing in the end though - it was the heaviest thing I'd ever munched on, and left me unable to each for a good 24 hours afterwards. It was thursday's lunch, and I didn't feel hungry until friday afternoon :).

We all know about Carnegie Deli's massive Pastrami Sandwiches, but as this keen eater found out, they do a ripper of a Chicken and Bacon Sandwich too! (although the Chicken looks a little strange to me...)
From: http://www.chancemccoy.com/adventures/goodmorningamerica/gma.htm
After the taping, Mom and Dad took me to the Carnegie Deli. I ate a HUGE chicken salad & bacon sandwich with a side of fries. Mmmmmm... then we did some shopping, and the Texas Rollergirls began the seemingly endless quest to get back to Austin.

Contributed by: Billy
20 McDonalds Cheeseburgers, 1 man. Who will win? Who will lose? There's only a few photos in this one, but still funny to look at... Apparently a Chinese guy told them not to make him do it... Ken didn't listen...

The Smelterville Inn 3lb Hamburger Challenge, Terre Haute, Indiana
Contributed by: Billy
This sounds like a challenge to be reckoned with! According to their site, only one person in the history of this challenge has completed it successfully. A 14 year old boy about 20 years ago. Will they conquer this challenge? Read on!
From: http://www.mitchellchurch.org/hamburger.htm
There's a restaurant on the north side of Terre Haute, Indiana that has an interesting item on its menu. The Smelterville Inn offers a 3 pound hamburger. That's right! One hamburger that weighs 3 pounds! And if you can finish it along with a huge basket of fries, another heaping side (in our case, a whole jar of apple sauce), and your drink in 30 minutes or less, you get it all free along with a t-shirt and your picture on the wall. If not, it'll set you back around $15. We owe a big thanks for all of the money we've lost trying this to our buddy Chris Wood (one of Gary's friends / college roommate) who told us about the challenge and has tagged along on every trip.

The "Mega Mel Burger", Mel's Country Cafe, Tomball, TX
Contributed by: Billy
Googlemaps Location: Tomball, TX, USA
For ages I've been trying to figure out where the burger featured in this earlier article originated from. Well, thanks to one of our Forum Posters, Brandon, I think I may have found the source of this massive burger tower. It's called "The Mega Mel Burger". Here are the stats:
From: http://groups.google.com/group/houston.eats/msg/917931d2a32048a3
and http://www.toryandashley.com/TXPictures.htm
Mel's flagship burger is it's Mega Mel's Burger. This thing is approaching
bovine armageddon status! This thing has 6 - count em' - SIX patties
totaling 1 1/2 pounds of beef - a friggin' pound of bacon - ¼ pound of
cheese - all the vegetables - and a half off coupon for a defibulator. If
you can eat this bad boy in under 2 hours and not "return any of the food
for a refund" during that time - you get your name written on the Mel's Wall
of Fame and you will be forever the envy of binge eaters everywhere! One guy
at this monstocity in 9 minutes!!! I bet that dude had a real bad case of
something that night. Yowser!"

Talk about expensive tastes. This US$1000 Sundae would want to taste pretty good!
From: http://www.dailyolive.com/got_1000_why_no.html
I know. It sounds crazy: $1,000 for an ice cream sundae? But, the sundae is The Grand Opulence Sundae from famed Serendipity of New York City and it's made up of the best of the best. According to the restaurant, they sell approximately one a month, so apparently, quite a few people have some money to indulge in such opulence.
