The guys from I-Mockery.com show off a Big Mama's Pizza, known for being the largest pizza in the country. A whopping 36 inch pie! You have to turn it sideways to fit it through your door. In fact, the pizzeria build a special "slot" in front of their building to slide the giant pizza boxes through since they don't fit through a standard sized doorway.

Supersized Ghoozi Dinner
Contributed by: Billy
Here's a Supersized Meal from the Middle East! This dish is usually served at weddings and other distinguished gatherings. A little hard to see, but you get the idea of just how big this meal is!

Ghoozi is lamb with scented rice served at Arab feasts such as wedding and other distinguished occasions. It is usually served on large trays of rice with the roasted lamb on top and guests share from the same tray. The ghoozi here is on the largest tray I ever saw. This feast appears to be in Saudi Arabia

A while ago, Adam Kuban from SliceNY.com blogged about how the Atlantic Chip Shop in Brooklyn, NY was offering deep fried pizza on its menu. He also took video footage of the occasion as well! The video goes into the origins of the Deep Fried Pizza, what pizza is best to deep fry, and is generally a step-by-step guide on how to make your own!

Pics of the Krispy Kreme Challenge, NC State Belltower, Jan 2007
Contributed by: Billy
Following on from our earlier article about the Krispy Kreme Challenge, Abby's Mom has kindly allowed us to show you her photos of the event. What could be the future of competitive eating (a combination of fitness and eating prowess), this event is like no other. Pleasure, pain, and doughnuts!

In 2004, NC State Sophomore Chris McCoy came up with a challenge. He would gather some friends at the NC State belltower and begin a run toward downtown Raleigh. His jog would take him two miles downhill to the Raleigh krispy Kreme bakery. There they would each consume 1 dozen of the legendary hot glazed doughnuts. The group would then run back to the belltower to finish the race. All in less than an hour.

The Canadian Speed Eating Championship
Contributed by: Billy
The challenge was set between two Canadian food warriors! These guys sure know how to trash talk each other. The challenge was simple, the winner would be determined by who could eat their burger and fries the fastest. Suspense, controversy and more trash talking follow!

I was digging around the zGeek forums the other day when I stumbled across one of the funniest post-hot-food-eating articles I've ever read. "Cranky" had heard about the "Off the Wall Challenge" from friends in the forum, and thought he'd give it a crack. We've written about the "Off the Wall Challenge" before, and Andrew successfully completed the challenge... What Cranky didn't know is just how damn hot that burger was, and the pain that he would be subjected to. He took the challenge, and hilarity ensued. Enjoy!

Excerpt: not to be discouraged i forge ahead, quickly shovelling the burger into my mouth. i begin to descend into my own litle hell. staff come out and are watching us eat and are egging us on. i can barely notice anything except the immense pain in my mouth, eyes, ears (yes my ears were ringing) but most importantly in my stomach...

Hungree Burgers commercial, Philippines Big Burgers
Contributed by: Billy
Here's a hefty sized burger from a place in the Philippines! The place is called, "HungreeBurgers", has 3 locations, and sport what I would assume to be some of the largest burgers in the Philippines. 8" diameter is pretty good for a readily available fast food burger! This vid shows the making of, and a few pics of the burger itself. Not sure if it's a commercial, an ad, or what... the music is pretty groovy though...

Giant Pizza King, San Diego, CA
Contributed by: Billy
I think the name of this pizza place sums up what they do quite nicely. They claim to be the Giant Pizza King, and from the looks of these photos, they are! These pizzas are huge, come in either 16 slices, or 24 squares, and have 14 locations around San Diego. Sizes up to 26" are available for around $25-$30. Long live the King! (PS: If anyone lives around one of these, let us know if they've got any challenges!)
