Tempura Bacon
Contributed by: Billy
Bacon and Deep Fryers such a delightfully devilish combination. In this short vid, Chef Greggory Hill creates Tempura Bacon, Bacon lightly floured, fried, and served with a chilli marmalade sauce. Looks pretty easy to make too!

How to make the most of an AYCE buffet
Contributed by: Billy
Mum always said you should try and learn from experience, or the experience of others. That's some good advice, just like the advice the guys from Wise Geek have come up with. "How Can I Make the Most of an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet?". Some good solid tips in this one... although I always get too excited and break Rule #1....
From: http://www.wisegeek.com/how-can-i-make-the-most-of-an-all-you-can-eat-buffet.htm
Whether you are attending a wedding, cruising the open seas, or just going down to the local buffet, heeding these simple tips can greatly improve your all-you-can-eat experience.
Rule #1: Do a Lap Before you Commit
This one is obvious, but there's nothing worse than getting to the end of the buffet line, and having to balance a nice piece of Fillet Mignon on top of a pile of iceberg lettuce and industrial ranch dressing. Don't feel awkward about cruising the entire layout before you pick up a plate.

The Double Chee-Challenge
Contributed by: mscbuck
'Twas the night of July 15th, and I was hungry. A proposition was made. Let us go to Burger King to try out the Octo-stacker! What a grand idea, I thought to myself. So, we went to Burger King at 11:05PM, but nay, it was closed! What were we to do! Then, an event I previously had heard of came to mind. The McDonalds Double Chee-Challenge. That's 6 double cheeseburgers. 12 meat patties, and 12 buns, and all that grease and cheese. Would a man of my slim stature, 5'11 and 135lbs, be able to complete such an epic task? We shall find out!

In this video, Paul Panzer and others try out the Waldgeist Menu, the XXL Schnitzel and the XXL Burger. It's in German I think, so not sure what they're saying, but they sound pretty happy though!

The Fool's Gold Loaf. An Elvis Favorite!
Contributed by: Billy
Elvis was famous for his outrageous appetite, and this particular meal was no exception. It's called, "The Fool's Loaf", probably because only a fool wanting to die would eat it! It's a full loaf of bread packed with jam, peanut butter and bacon. Love me tender!
From: http://www.dumbrella.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=9738
So a while back my roommate was telling me about this sandwich he heard about that Elvis loved. Apparently it's made in a restaurant in Denver, Colorado, and it's called the Fools Gold Loaf - the sandwich, not the restaurant. The story goes that the actual sandwich was a loaf of bread, an entire jar of peanut butter, and entire jar of grape jelly, and a pound of bacon. Also, the bread is toasted. And it cost $50. Supposedly Elvis flew himself and his friends to Denver at 3 in the morning just to have this sandwich. Apparently Elvis could eat the whole thing by himself. Now, I don't know if any of this is true, but we decided some weeks back to try it out. So, tonight was the night. Consider this a proof of concept.

unityxx tackles the 21x21
Contributed by: Billy
Ah, the famous In 'n' Out 21x21, done in style by unityxx. He had to construct it with 3 x 7x7's, but would unityxx have the stamina to finish this towering burgery challenge?
From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnN4bPOhCj4
I ate the 21x21 burger at In-N-Out, on 03.04.2006. 21x21 means 21 patties and 21 slices of cheese. Unfortunately, they had to bring it out as 3 7x7, instead of 1 huge one.
The Everyburger, Mini Chocolate Burger Cookies
Contributed by: Billy
Coming from the department of "Opposite of Supersized" is the "Everyburger Cookie". It's a teeny tiny burger shaped chocolate cookie. It's even got mini cheese and sesame seeds!

Not one or two, but EVERYBURGER. All of them. Chocolate and biscuit masquerading as burger. Finally.

The Empire State Burger
Contributed by: Billy
Originating from a place called "Memphis Heiskari" (of which I couldn't find), this tower of a burger is a combination of a Bacon Cheeseburger, a Chicken Burger (w/ 2 Onion Rings), and a Cheeseburger with Pesto. Even though they claim it's from a restaurant, I've got a feeling this one was constructed on site!
[Updated 15 Oct 07 - thanks fooishbar!]
21. EMPIRE STATE BURGER 21,70
Three hamburger buns, two mince meat fillets, chicken fillet, bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce, (unknown) mayonnaisse, fresh pineapple, chimchurri sauce, (unknown) and lime/mint mayonnaisse dip, and fries
So, the Empire State is the chimchurri on the bottom, the chicken burger in the middle, and then the Memphis burger on top. It was pretty awesome.
