Smell Like a Burger, Get All the Ladies
Contributed by: Billy
We've known this all along... Well, at least those of us who've frequented the fine fast food establishments of the world. Nothing says "lets get it on" like the smell of a Burger King Whopper, and now they've captured that smell in a bottle! Burger King has released a new fragrance called, "FLAME" (yes, all CAPS). It smells like a freshly broiled Whopper. What about the side of Onion Rings though?

The "Pio Tosini" Parma ham storehouse, Parma, Italy
Contributed by: Billy
Behold, the birthplace for one of the tastiest hams in the world, the Parma Ham. Otherwise known as Prosciutto (or vice versa depending where you live), it's an aged, dry-cured, spiced Italian ham that is usually sliced thin and served raw. (Wikipedia) This is what all the cathedrals in Rome should look like!

Contributed by: Billy
Although a little bit late, here are the pics from Round 2 of the Hooters Ultimate Chicken Wing Challenge that I recently competed in. Held on the 22nd October, the top 3 would go through to the final held 2 weeks later. Who will make it through to the finals?

I've seen plenty of "Big Breakfasts" on restuarant menu's, but nothing like this one! The challenge: eat their "Big Breakfast", 10 eggs, 10 sausages, 10 rashers of bacon, 10 slices of toast, five black pudding slices, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked bean in 20 minutes or less (without a drink). The Prize: get it for free, otherwise fork over £10.95. (which is pretty damn good considering what you're getting!). 5,000 calories of Full English!

A CAFE is offering a gut-busting breakfast challenge — eat every last morsel of its fearsome full English and you can have it for free. But be warned — this supersized meal is not for the faint of heart. In fact, the owner of Mario’s Cafe Bar, in Market Street, Westhoughton, asks any customer brave enough to take on the challenge to sign a disclaimer taking responsibility for their own health.

Whopper Virgins, first taste of the Whopper
Contributed by: Billy
Burger King's latest ad campaign has stirred up a few people. They visit remote parts of the world where advertising has yet to reach, and get residents to compare the taste of a Burger King Whopper with a McDonalds Big Mac. The most fascinating thing about this is that they don't know how to actually hold a hamburger! Protest groups had a field day, claiming this sort of test is cruel towards impoverished farmers who struggle to earn enough for a meal. One report went as far to say, "What's next? Are we going to start taking guns out to some of these remote places and ask them which one they like better?".

The Bacon Briefcase

I wonder if a smoked bacon briefcase would look more like the real thing?

Man v Food, S01E01
Contributed by: Billy
Now THIS is television! Last week a new show aired on the Travel Channel called, "Man v Food". The show features Adam Richmond, an experienced restaurateur traveling around America trying to complete the many legendary eating challenges we all love at SupersizedMeals.com. Each week we'll be summarizing the challenges that he'll be talking about, and linking to stories we've written in the past (if they qualify of course!). Here's a summary of their first episode containing the "Burger from Hell", "Chicken Fried Steak", and one of our all time favorites, "The 72oz 'Big Texan' Steak Challenge"

Top Gear Builds a V8 Blender
Contributed by: Billy
The Top Gear guys had a spare v8 engine laying about and thought of a way to put it to good use, by creating a blender! They then proceed to make a meatshake with ingredients like steak (bone in), Tabasco Sauce, Bovrill and a brick. Might not want to make a midnight cocktail with this one!

Can you build a blender out of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 Corvette engine? The answer, as you can see in the video below the jump, is yes.
